Tips for families
The MTB ZONE bike parks are fitting for all interests. A mountain bike loving family quickly reaches an equal skill level and can often ride the same routes. However, when there are occasional riders involved, there needs to be something for the less experienced, to keep the whole family happy all day long. The MTB ZONE bike parks include:
Diverse routes: from easy to difficult, for all ages
- Practice course (kids from about 5 or 6 years), even kids course (for younger children)
- Easy flow trails and very easy table lines (for children from around eight years)
- For medium difficulty freeride, intermediate jump lines or slopestyle areas (kids over eight years with appropriate experience)
- Difficult offers in all forms like downhill or routes with large drops and gaps (not suitable for children, more for teenagers and adults)
Reliable route descriptions (level of difficulty, length, age information)
Whether children are able to ride certain routes depends not only on their age, but also on their motor skills and experience. The age informations of our routes are recommendations. Parents know their children and their abilities better and should take this into account.
Chickenways to avoid difficult elements
Always look at the route together first to see, which elements the children can manage and where it would be better to avoid them.
rental
Our rental offers high-quality bikes and equipment for mountain biking and for almost every age. This usually applies to children from the age of eight. If the children are younger, parents should ask beforehand which bikes, helmets and protectors are available. On site they can then try it to see if it fits. The staff is on hand to offer advice.
bike school
Our bike school offers courses for children of different ages, beginners and advanced. If the family wants to learn together, family courses or private lessons are available.
Security
This includes the construction of the tracks, good route maintenance and bike park rules that apply to all guests so noone endangers themselves or others.
The bike park rules of the MTB ZONE parks can be seen on the websites, in the booklets and at the lift ticket offices.
Children and teenagers unaccompanied by their parents
Usually, children are allowed to ride alone in the park, provided they have the necessary riding skills and experience. When purchasing a lift ticket, renting a bike or protectors, children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a legal guardian. Alternatively, children and tennagers can submit a declaration of consent from their parents. This is available for download on the park websites in the "Lift tickets" or "Rental" areas and can be presented at the lift ticket office or in the rental shop. The decision as to whether the child is able to ride alone in the park is the responsibility of the parents.
More offers
In the MTB ZONE bike parks there are various gastronomic offers directly near the routes. From there, spectators can watch the bike park in a relaxed manner. All three parks also have leisure activities in close proximity. From the playground to the summer toboggan run to archery or disc golf.
